Easy, Mess Free Homemade Pizza Crust

I love homemade. I love cooking from scratch. I love simple ingredients. I do not love working with pizza dough.

I hate it. I am not a huge fan of making bread either. It's the kneading and the flouring. It just frustrates me and consumes so much time.

And how much are you really saving if something takes up that much of your time?

But, my sweet mother-in-law got me a food processor for Christmas. Did you know you can make pizza dough in that thing???

Well you can now. It's easy and mess free.

What you'll need:

3 tbsp butter at room temperature

3 cups flour

2 tsp active yeast

1 cup HOT water

1 tsp salt

various seasonings- I used garlic powder.

A few extra tbsp flour for a separate bowl

Place your flour, yeast, salt, seasonings and butter in the food processor. Blend it all together.

Add your hot water a little bit at a time. Blend, blend, blend.

It will look like this.

Transfer to a glass bowl sprinkled with flour. Knead the crust for about 5 minutes.

Then cover and let sit.

It will rise!!!!

Technically this will make 3 crusts. But I like a thick crust. So I only made one.

You will roll the crust onto the pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350. Cover in toppings and bake another 10-20 minutes.

This has nothing to do with pizza. It's just a cute picture of a sweet baby eating sweet potatoes.
