Confetti Chili

I love chili. It's my favorite cold weather dish. And it's a great way to get full and load up on extra vegetables. It's easy to make and packed with flavor.

I have never in my life been more excited over a Christmas than I am this year. (At least that I can recall.) It's because I have a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old. That just spells FUN CHRISTMAS!

I just wanted to dive headfirst into Christmas and stay there til sometime in February. But, I know if I don't make a list of things I want to do I will look back and be a little sad. So, I made a Family Fun Christmas To Do list.

Free Nativity Advent Calendar

Tomorrow (or today when you are reading this) begins advent! It's the time we wait... the time we wait to celebrate the birth of Jesus and we enter a precious time of worship.

I love it. I love it even more now that I have children. And now that Ry is two he really has something to look forward to.

Happy Thanksgiving and a list of gratitude

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends. I hope it is a day filled with gratitude and joy and perhaps a little rest. I hope it is a reprieve from your busy and hectic day to day.

Pumpkin Spice Muffins with Cinnamon Chips

Thanksgiving is (gasp) tomorrow. Which means for most people pumpkin cravings will come to an end. And I think that isn't such a bad thing. Let's be honest, we all went a little crazy. We've added pumpkin to things that didn't need pumpkin and we paid the price through really, really, really bad batches of brownies.

But last week I hit pay dirt. If you add pumpkin to a box of yellow cake mix and add an egg, vanilla, a bunch of pumpkin pie spice and some cinnamon chips then you are golden my friend. You are golden. These were so good my husband asked for seconds and thirds and ate them again when he got home from work.
