Tips to photographing a toddler

I am pretty sure I have photographed my children everyday since they were born. Well, almost everyday.

If your child is anything like mine they are constantly in motion. I have lots of blurry photos, lots of pictures of the back of my child's head and lots of pictures of him crying because I made him sit still.

And while I am NOT a professional photographer and have no desire to photograph anyone other than my family I have picked up a few tricks for photographing a toddler.

Peanut Butter Blondie

Do you love peanut butter? Yeah, me too. What about chocolate? Mmmhmm. I see we are all in agreement. And cake? Are you a fan of cake too? Oh good, we can all be friends.

Over the weekend I whipped up what I am calling a "Peanut Butter Blondie." No, it is in now way low-fat, low-calorie, or sugar free. So I reccomend you make these once a year. Also, after you read this post, just go eat a spinach salad.

A letter to my son on his second birthday

My boy you are two  today. Sweet Ry. I cannot believe it has been two years since you were born.

Birthday Fun and FREE party printables

My sweet boy is two today! I still can't believe it's been two years since Ry was born on his special birthday 11-11-11.

It's gone by in a flash. It's true what people say, DON'T BLINK!

This weekend we joined with family and friends to celebrate his birthday with a "train party." My boy loves all things tractor, truck and train. So he had a blast.

I thought I would share with all of you some details and give you some free "choo choo party" printables like the invitation I designed and our cup cake toppers.

World's Youngest Meat Loaf Fan

My son loves Meat Loaf. The singer, not the entree. Although I am sure he would LOVE that too. Here he is helping me sing the hit "I would do anything for love (but I wont do that)."
