The Oh My Goodness Make you Cry Burger

Cry Burger.jpg

If I hadn't loved my husband enough to marry him (almost) eight years ago, the only convincing I would need is this burger.

My husband grills the best and I mean best burgers. You would be hard pressed to find a better burger and I have had a lot of delicious restaurant burgers.

So gentlemen, pay attention, this burger (and this husband) is a winner.

What you'll need:

One pound ground beef (we actually use venison)

1/2 pound ground sausage. The Jimmy Dean is great

1 egg

1 cup bread crumbs

A dash mesquite seasoning

1 tbsp dried onions

1 tbsp dried or fresh minced garlic

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Dale's Steak Sauce

1 tbsp dry Ranch mix or this blend of herbs and spices

Dump everything in a bowl and mix it together with your hands. Yes. Your hands.

Then patty them out. But the secret is don't pack them too tight and then flatten. Make a flat patty to begin with. This is the secret for a super juicy burger.

My husband cooks these on a charcoal grill. But I have also seen him cook them on a griddle or George Forman. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side until you see juices "flowing."

Voila!

We topped ours with onion straws, bbq sauce, avacoado and blue cheese. I like them "fancy."
